How we use the power of our imagination to get better results

We can use the power of our imagination to succeed! Sometimes it’s hard to believe we can achieve certain goals. Perhaps a goal of lasting health or improving at a skill. Perhaps the habit of happiness or the habit of confidence. You can use the power of your mind’s imagination to help you.

Thoughts are things. Like attracts like. What we focus on grows. What we focus on we become.

Scientists say the mind can not tell the difference between something that is real and something that has been vividly imagined with as much detail as possible. Let that thought sink in for a moment. The power of this statement is vast. If we imagine something with as much realistic detail as possible, let it FEEL real, then, according to our mind, it is just as good as actually doing it. 

We can use our imagination as a powerful tool. We can imagine the FEELING of any goal very vividly and our mind processes the experience as if we experienced the moment real. We can allow our self to imagine what it would be like to be healthy and we can begin to feel the change take place inside. We can FEEL like practicing anything in our minds and improve our skills.

At first this task of imagining what you want may seem difficult or silly. As with everything, the more you practice the better you will become. In time, you may find using your imagination to be not only simple but enjoyable.

Take a moment to imagine what achieving your goal could FEEL like. In your mind’s eye, imagine what it would be like to be at your best FEELING good. Make the details as vivid as you can. Consider how you would you FEEL? Consider how you would act? How much energy do you FEEL? How excited do you FEEL? How big is your smile? How tall would you stand? The more real you can make the image FEEL the easier it will be to attain.

As a practice exercise, I like to spend a few minutes every day imagining what it would be like to be healthy. In a positive mindset, I vividly imagine all the enjoyable things I would be doing if I was not hindered by illness. I imagine and FEEL the positive feelings that I will have. Once I am filled with a positivity I go about my day knowing that the actions I take will eventually lead me to my goal. 

Become more connected with using your imagination. Make it as real and vivid as possible. Encompass as many senses as you can.

Use your imagination to FEEL the end result you prefer.
